A senior sales leader and trainer with 15+ years of experience driving sustained growth as both an individual contributor and a commercial leader. I know that anyone can make something complicated but it takes talent to make complex things, simple.
Hi, I’m Heather!
I’m a christian, married to my husband, Ryan Chico, of 18 years, my rock and steady partner in all things life. Together, we’re raising four kids, which means I have a deep respect for patience, adaptability, and the long game.
I believe people are designed with dignity, created to contribute, and capable of extraordinary things when given the right environment and encouragement.
I also have a deep appreciation for, and actively hunt out humor in all the many forms it shows up in everyday life. Humor keeps us humble, resilient, and connected, especially when the work is hard and the stakes are high.
And yes, I’m a jelly bean connoisseur, shameless consumer of books and podcasts that make me think differently, gardener, mom, and lifelong student because joy and curiosity matter.
Personally,
I help organizations grow by shaping high-trust environments, leveraging relational capital, and building repeatable systems that allow people and partnerships to thrive.
I don’t teach theory alone. I teach what I’ve built, scaled, and sustained.
I’ve watched the skills I’ve learned translate to measured success across 3 different industries: manufacturing, construction and packaging and am growing more passionate by the day to teach the trends I’ve seen across each space. Most recently, transitioning from an individual contributor to a commercial sales leader over the last 7 years, I learned firsthand the pain of trying to do it all yourself. I had to adapt my skills from reacting to thinking fast and slow. In order to survive, I had to see repetition so that I could coach and train my team as my real customer. As a result, I led a team who double a $35M business to more than $70M through consistent, year-over-year growth, not spikes, not shortcuts, and not yo-yo results. I’ve watched ordinary people do extraordinary things. With companies ranging from private equity owned, to publicly traded, to small businesses of 8 employees, my growth was achieved by aligning people, process, and purpose, even amid market volatility and operational complexity.
Professionally,
My superpower is human connection, the ability to observe, listen, ask the right questions, and create environments where trust (built on foundations of intellect & integrity) aligning with purpose are highlighted.
Just as Warren Buffet’s investment $1M bet with Protege Partners displayed, we are far more powerful as a collective than as an individual. Read more about that story here: https://www.npr.org/transcripts/688018436. We see this partnership theory everywhere: in friendships, in marriages, in churches, in education, in orchestra, in architecture, in music, in investing, in politics, in business, as suppliers, coworkers and customers. It’s where I believe traditional individuality, while necessary for accountability, falls short in its complete self reliance on individual performance which is counterintuitive in today’s American business culture. We are not meant to be all things to all people but see others as necessary parts to the greater whole. At the core of my work is a simple belief: People are more powerful together than they are alone, especially when trust, integrity, and purpose lead the way. This is The Partnership Effect, and it’s how I help leaders and teams build growth that compounds over time.
If you’re ready to lead with intention, value people deeply, and build results that last, you’re in the right place.
